Tuesday 12. September

As usual, the day started with an early wake-up call. We spent the morning at school, where workshops and language lessons took place. After substantial lunch in Quartus the day continued with timber rafting and sailing. Rafters had to make their own rafts during a short period of time and go through a certain distance in the water. There was a race between two timber raft teams who had to race against each other in the water. The ones, who had built a raft on Monday, were about 20 seconds faster than the team who raced today.

At the same time the other students were out sailing. They said that the girls had a few problems in the beginning, but after having trained for some time, they were better than the boys. When everyone was ramming each other 2 sailboats went over and a couple of guys fell into the water. It was funny and everyone was satisfied that they could try sailing. The evening went by even in a more interesting way, because everyone was waiting for an exciting football match. The first game was between the Estonian and Danish boys. The game was quite even in the beginning, but later on the Estonians had to face a loss 1:6. The next game was between the Estonian and the Danish girls. That game was even more exciting and even, and the watchers were cheering really loudly. The match ended with an even score 1:1. The Estonians were really happy, because the Danish had more experience and better equipment. We could see frustration in our opponents’ eyes, they were so sure of their winning. After the games were over, it was dark outside and everyone headed for their houses, thinking the day had been really good.
